STRICTLY AVOID THE FOLLOWING FOR A MINIMUM OF 24 HRS PRE-PROCEDURE:

  • Alcohol.

  • Caffeine (yes, please skip your morning coffee or tea the day of your appointment).

  • Aspirin or Ibuprofen (Acetaminophen is fine).

  • Fishoil.

  • Working out.
*these can thin the blood and affect your pigment retention and healing.

2 WEEKS PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT:

  • Avoid Neurotoxins (Botox/Dysport) for 2 weeks prior AND 2 weeks post-procedure as it can result in an asymmetrical outcome.

  • Discontinue the use of Retinol products and growth serums on/around the area being tattooed.

  • All facial treatments should be avoided 2 weeks prior and 2 weeks post-procedure.

  • No tanning or excessive sun exposure.

  • Do not wax, tweeze, thread, remove or tint brow hairs. We like to work with the maximum amount of hair possible. After the initial session, you can maintain your brows as you prefer.

  • Remove lash extensions for Lash Line Enhancement procedures 4 weeks prior to your appointment.

  • Discontinue using any lash growth serums for a minimum of 3 months prior to a Lash Line Enhancement procedure.

  • For Lip Blush procedures exfoliate the lip area daily and keep them hydrated at all times as we cannot tattoo over dry lips.

  • Taking an Arnica supplement a few weeks prior to a Lip Blush treatment can greatly reduce bruising during and after the procedure.

  • If you experience cold sores please discuss taking an anti-viral medication (such as Valtrex) with your doctor prior to having a Lip Blush session done.

THINGS TO CONSIDER:

  • Please eat before your procedure and stay hydrated. If you are prone to fainting or lightheadedness inform us ahead of time so we can take the necessary precautions.

  • Please shower before your procedure as it is ideal to avoid showering for 24-72 hours post-procedure.

  • Use fresh sheets and pillowcases after your treatment.

  • If you bleach your eyebrows, it is recommended you do not have this procedure done; the chemicals that bleach the hair will fade the pigment as well. Please inform your technician if you currently tint your eyebrows so we can properly assess the pigment colour.

  • If you have a sunburn on your face we will not be able to proceed with any cosmetic tattooing services and will reschedule your appointment.

  • In cases where you are prone to cold sores, you will be required to talk to your physician about taking an anti-viral medication (Valtrex) a cycle prior to your Lip Blush appointment and/or for the duration of your healing. If you are experiencing an outbreak at the time of your appointment we will be required to reschedule the session.

  • If you are planning to have lip filler done please ensure it’s at least 4 weeks prior to the lip blush procedure.

  • Please do not wear contact lenses during a Lash Line Enhancement procedure. You will not be able to wear contacts for a week post-procedure.

  • If there are any stye’s or eye infections at the time of a Lash Line Enhancement appointment we will be required to postpone the procedure.

  • Please be aware that booking during your menstrual cycle will greatly increase pain.

If any of the above mentioned is not followed you will not be considered a candidate for cosmetic tattooing, your procedure will be rescheduled or canceled and your deposit will be forfeited. Please contact us if you have any questions!
